Board of directors

At NHS North East London and the City, we are led by the boards of the seven primary care trusts, which meet together.  Our directors are led by our chair, Marie Gabriel and our deputy chair Frances Pennell-Buck. 

Six non-executive directors sit on the board:

• Phil Wilson
• Millie Banerjee

 Also on the board are our executive directors.

• Terry Huff, deputy chief executive and chief operating officer
• Stuart Saw, director of finance
• Dr. Jane Moore, director of public health (ONEL cluster) 
• Dr. Ian Basnett, director of public health (ELC cluster)
• Caroline Alexander, director of nursing and quality
• Dr Ken Aswani, medical director (ONEL cluster)
• May Cahill, medical director (ELC cluster)

Some executive directors remain specific to individual primary care trust boards:

NHS Barking and Dagenham:

• Dr W Mohi,  Clinical commissioning committee chair.
• Matthew Cole, director of public health.

NHS Havering:

• Dr A Aggarwal, Clinical commissioning committee chair.
• Dr E Rashbrook, director of public health.

NHS Redbridge:

• Dr H Spiteri, Clinical commissioning committee chair
• Jane Moore, director of public health

NHS Waltham Forest:

• Dr G Ivbijaro, Clinical senate chair
• Dr K Eilbert, director of public health

Not on the boards, but supporting them, are four borough directors:

Borough director (Barking and Dagenham): Sharon Morrow
Borough director (Havering): Jacqui Himbury
Borough director (Redbridge): Louise Mitchell
Borough director (Waltham Forest): Hazel Fisher

Representatives from the local authorities (councils) and local involvment networks are routinely invited to the boards.
